Below you can see a photo of a cheap boost pin made of standard steel without thermal treatment after a few months of being used. Such boost pin may damage the injection pump.

Your pump must have the square diaphragm housing as shown in the picture below. Some later 300 Tdi’s have electronic control and must only be tuned by electronics like a plug in chip.
